How to use the term
Holiday Season:
This holiday season, we'll be visiting the in-laws more than normal.
I'll stick to "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" this year, because I don't want to speak with HR again for trying to normalize my Christian world-views on everybody.
I call it the holiday season now, because thinking of it as a religious oppression was just so tiring. I had a real persecution complex for awhile, pushed onto me by Christian upbringing.
